Grounded in cognitive neuroscience and the Study Cycle, this 90-minute workshop will help you design learning experiences that support how the brain actually learns.
We’ll explore practical concepts such as cognitive load, attention, retrieval, and spaced practice, along with the Study Cycle created by F. L. Christ in 1997 and more recently popularized by Saundra McGuire and Stephanie McGuire in Teach Yourself How to Learn.
You’ll leave with concrete, low-effort changes you can make to your courses to reduce cognitive overload, help students study more effectively, and make the most of each encounter with you and the content, and maybe even reduce some of the last-minute cramming before exams 🤞
We can’t wait to see you there!
